CPAC recently recognized Florida Rep. Greg Steube as the most conservative lawmaker from the Sunshine State and one of the most conservative in Congress.
The Sarasota Republican was among just 15 GOP members of Congress who received a perfect score of 100% from the Conservative Political Action Conference Foundation, organizers and hosts of the largest annual conservative gathering in the country.
“Thank you @CPAC for recognizing my voting record as the #1 most conservative Congressman in the Sunshine State!” Stebue said in X on Saturday, a day after CPAC held a reception to recognize those honored on its 53rd annual congressional scorecard.

“I’m honored to deliver conservative policy solutions for Florida and our great nation. Thank you for all you do to hold members of Congress to account for their votes. We need more conservatives fighting in Washington!” Steube added.
According to CPAC, House members’ scores were based on 76 specific votes on issues covering fiscal matters, taxation, regulation, education, the environment, Second Amendment rights, election security, pro-life, and government integrity.
Overall, in Congress, 71 Republicans scored 90% or higher.
Several Florida Republicans were on the list.
In addition to Steube, they included Reps. Kat Cammack (99%), Byron Donalds (99%), Bill Posey (99%), Anna Paulina Luna (97%), Cory Mills (96%), Matt Gaetz (95%), Aaron Bean (95%), Scott Franklin (91%), and Michael Waltz (90%).
The lowest-scoring Florida Republican was Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (59%).
On the other side, the most “conservative” Florida Democrat was Rep. Jared Moskowitz, who voted with CPAC just 8% of the time.
