PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas County Detectives have arrested a 13-year-old Tyrone Middle School student on Monday after the child threatened a mass shooting.

Detectives say the 13-year-old logged into another student’s Pinellas County Schools portal FOCUS account to send threatening messages to multiple teachers using profanities and stating, “I will shoot this school up I got 5 glocks and ak-47.”

Detectives made contact with the child, who admitted to sending the messages but stated he did so jokingly.
