With a candidate-qualifying period next month, four more House Republicans have drawn Democratic opponents as they seek re-election in November.
Democrat Stephanie “Lyn” Leonard opened a campaign account last week to run against Rep. Shane Abbott, R-DeFuniak Springs in House District 5, which is made up of Calhoun, Holmes, Jackson, Walton and Washington counties, according to the state Division of Elections website.
Meanwhile, Democrat Gary McManus has opened an account to challenge Rep. Dean Black, R-Jacksonville, in House District 15, which is made up of Nassau County and part of Duval County.

Also, Democrat Karl Cieslak has opened an account to challenge Rep. Randy Maggard, R-Dade City, in Pasco County’s House District 54.
In addition, Democrat Adriaan Jacobus DeVilliers has opened an account to run against Rep. Will Robinson, R-Bradenton, in Manatee County’s House District 71.
Abbott, Black, Maggard, and Robinson have not drawn other challengers. The qualifying period will be from June 10 to June 14.
