We now have the clearest sign yet that House Democrats see GOP Speaker Mike Johnson as an ally.

Left-wing Rep. Jared Moskowitz, a South Florida Democrat, said this week that there is “no way” Democrats would help Republican rebels toss Johnson as they did when ousting former GOP Speaker Kevin McCarthy last year.

Moskowitz told MSNBC in an interview on Sunday, “Obviously we’ll wait for our Leader [Hakeem] Jeffries to figure out that solution. But I’ve said this before, and I think there are other members who feel the same way: The idea of allowing [Rep.] Marjorie Taylor Greene, someone who literally, you know, would let the world burn, you know, with her isolationist foreign policy, who has talked about states seceding from the union, right?”

“The idea of letting her sit in the people’s house, in the well of Congress, giving a speech, removing any speaker, and having that powerful moment, there is just no way Democrats are going to let her do that. I’m not going to let her do that,” he continued.

“We won’t even let her name a post office. We’re not going to let her take out the speaker,” Moskowitz added.

Moskowitz, who recently filed a bill wanting to rename a federal prison for former President Donald Trump and who once tried trolling GOP lawmakers by wearing a Vladimir Putin mask on the House floor, was not the first Democrat to rally behind Johnson.

Two far-leftists, Democratic Reps. Ro Khanna of California and Raja Krishnamoorthi of Illinois, have both said recently they would reject the effort to ditch Johnson.

Greene, a Georgia Republican, has filed a bill to remove Johnson as speaker. She was utterly triggered by Johnson pushing through a $61 billion military aid package for Ukraine, even though a majority of GOP lawmakers opposed it.

As the Tampa Free Press has reported, Greene has received support from GOP Reps. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Paul Gosar of Arizona so far.
