The Trump Train continues to roll along.
The market research website Polymarket.com posted on X Sunday that Trump has recorded his biggest lead yet over incumbent Democratic President Joe Biden in the latest CNN poll.
The presumptive Republican nominee led Biden 49-43. Polymarket noted, “The lead is largest in CNN poll’s history.”
While Trump’s support remained steady, based on the same CNN poll in January, Biden actually dropped two points.
Trump’s margin grows even bigger when independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and other minor-party candidates are included. In that matchup, Trump is ahead 42-33.
Meanwhile, as Trending Politics noted of the same CNN poll, Biden’s approval ratings continue to sink.
Three key takeaways from the CNN poll that should trouble Biden’s campaign:
First, 55% of all Americans now see Trump’s presidency as a success, while 44% see it as a failure. That is a 10-point swing in Trump’s favor from January 2021, when the poll taken just after the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol found that 55% considered his time in the White House as a failure.

Secondly, 61% now say Biden’s presidency is a failure so far. That’s up from 57% who said the same of Biden’s first year in office in January 2022.
Finally, 58% of voters hold an unfavorable view of Biden, compared to 55% negative for Trump. Among the 17% of voters who say they have unfavorable views of both Biden and Trump, they pick Trump 43-31 if forced to choose one or the other. And among all voters, a clear majority – 52% – say there is no chance they would support Biden, while 47% say the same of backing Trump.
