As the first Libertarian to run in the U.S. Congressional District of Tampa Bay in more than 20 years, Nathaniel Snyder has qualified to be on the ticket in November.
Snyder will take on the incumbent, Kathy Castor, and the eventual Republican candidate.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming show of support my campaign has received from District 14 voters and many people from across our state and nation,” said Snyder.
Snyder says, if elected, he will concentrate on the problems that Republicans and Democrats alike continue to overlook but which are of utmost importance to the families in District 14: the high cost of living, the lack of affordable housing, and the expense of food and basic utilities.
Snyder is committed to empowering parents and students to make the best educational decisions for their futures, including better learning experiences for children with disabilities.
“I am running for Congress to be your advocate and champion the values that embody the blue-collar spirit of our community. As a single father of three, including an autistic son, I intimately understand the challenges facing working families and those with special-needs children,” said Snyder. “I will prioritize school choice and enhance transportation options to empower parents and students. By increasing the availability of charter schools and providing financial assistance for homeschoolers, we will ensure every child has access to a quality education that meets their unique needs.”
“This campaign is not just for Libertarians; it is about bringing people together.” Snyder continued, “Together, we will make ourselves heard. Together, we will be the voice of change. Together, we will work to empower all people – not only a select few and not the federal government – we will work to restore trust in Washington D.C.”
Snyder pledges to maintain a transparent and accessible campaign, ensuring every constituent has a voice in this election.
According to a campaign release, if elected, Snyder pledges not to engage in stock trading or other practices that enrich politicians at the expense of taxpayers.
