McDonald’s Parking Lot Shooting Suspect In Zephyrhills Arrested

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Zephyrhills Police Department has arrested the shooting suspect from an altercation at McDonald’s on Tuesday.

Officers responded to a disturbance call at McDonald’s, located at 6042 Gall Blvd, on April 16, 2024, where a victim was found with non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. The suspect was identified as Wesley Lee Bullock, 48, of Zephyrhills.

The altercation began when Bullock engaged in a confrontation with McDonald’s staff while in the drive-thru lane. The victim, a patron, attempted to intervene. A physical confrontation ensued between Bullock and the victim, who were then separated by McDonald’s staff.

Following the initial altercation, Bullock and the victim entered their vehicles and departed the McDonald’s parking lot. Bullock then followed the victim’s vehicle and continued the physical altercation inside the victim’s vehicle.

During the altercation, Bullock brandished a firearm. The victim and Bullock struggled over the firearm, resulting in the victim sustaining a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, as well as other injuries.

Zephyrhills Police detectives obtained an arrest warrant, and in a coordinated response with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, Bullock was arrested on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Bullock was charged with armed burglary with battery, as well as aggravated assault with a firearm.
