A 46-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with murder and kidnapping after taking a car for a test drive and wreaking havoc on an unsuspecting car salesman.
Rosie Chavez, 46 was arrested on March 22, 2024, at approximately 11:18 a.m. in the 2600 block of S Ridgeland Ave, Berwyn, IL.
She was identified as the suspect who, on February 10, 2024, fatally shot a 35-year-old Crisoforo Osorio-Gonzalez.

On February 13, police found Crisoforo Osorio-Gonzalez, 36, dead in a Little Village alley near the 3600 block of West 26th Street.
According to police, Chavez kidnapped the Rockford car salesperson during a test drive before killing him.
In a GoFundMe launched for the victim, an organizer said, “We are all devastated by the loss of Crisóforo Osorio González or better known as “Nikitas” and we were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral. We want to give Cris the tribute he deserves, honor his memory and say goodbye for the last time.”
