PARKLAND, Fla. – The White House announced on Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris will visit Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and speak about gun violence on March 23 in Parkland.
A little more than six years will pass after the gunman at the Parkland school murdered seventeen students and faculty members.

The announcement stated that Harris is in charge of the Biden administration’s “work to address gun violence while overseeing the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention,” but it did not go into full detail about the visit.
