Federal authorities are reportedly investigating suspected arson after the office of three conservative groups in Minnesota were torched.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents acknowledged they are investigating the blaze as a potential criminal act in last week’s fire.

The blaze damaged offices belonging to TakeCharge, the Center of the American Experiment, and the Upper Midwest Law Center.

The Free Beacon reported that leaders of the victimized groups believe without doubt that the attack was ideologically motivated and ignited by left-wing terrorists.

The best evidence for that is that there are other offices, including non-conservative ones, in the same office building, and yet none of those were torched.

The leaders added that the incident only boosted their resolve to advocate for conservative principles.

“The fires were obviously set by someone. They targeted conservative organizations,” said John Hinderaker, president of Center of the American Experiment, a free enterprise think tank.

“They didn’t firebomb the chiropractors or psychologists or Manufacturers Alliance,” he said. “We are working with authorities to try to identify the perpetrators.”

James Dickey, assistant general counsel of the Upper Midwest Law Center, a conservative legal aid group, said, “It’s deeply troubling that we may have been a target of arson—an act of domestic terrorism—because of the work we do on behalf of the people of Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.”

Kendall Qualls, president of TakeCharge, a conservative black organization that challenges the political claims of systemic racism, said, “Attempts to silence us won’t work. This act emboldens us to be stronger and louder.”

Based on Attorney General Merrick Garland’s lackluster track record in pursuing the leftists that vandalized more than 100 churches, pro-life groups and crisis pregnancy centers after the Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked in May 2022, the Minnesota groups may not want to hold out too much hope for justice.
