The Capitol Visitor’s Center reported Rep. Rich McCormick, R-Ga., on Wednesday this week for “unsafe actions” in the building, which included pull-ups on railings hundreds of feet above the ground in the Capitol Dome.
The emails complaining about McCormick were sent to the House sergeant at arms, Politico reported, since tour guides can’t intervene in actions by members of Congress.
According to the email, McCormick went past a sign that read “no person permitted above this platform under any circumstances” and over a security railing.

The GOP representative then went to the “Tholos” level of the Capitol dome, where he straddled a railing over 200 feet in the air and pretended to be sliding and falling.
He also grabbed a crossbar to do pull-ups while members of his staff filmed, the outlet reported.
McCormick’s spokesperson Julie Singleton told Politico, “There was a miscommunication, and we have apologized.”
McCormick is known for skating around the hallways of the Hill and playing football against Capitol Police.
