Donald Trump left the White House three years ago last week. Yet as Democrats argue, he is now to blame for the rampant and lingering illegal immigration crisis at the border — even as President Joe Biden has allowed more than 10 million illegal immigrants into the country, and Senate Democrats now support a proposal to allow another 1.8 million illegals a year to cross into America forever.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, however, set the record straight and noted that the Democrats’ latest blame game os more “America Last’ rhetoric.
Trump wound up in the middle of the clash after he urged Senate Republicans to reject a border deal with Democrats that appears to open the gates wider than they already are.

As the Tampa Free Press recently reported, Republican Sen. James Lankford and the Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer reached a deal that would allow:
- 5,000 illegals a day to be suddenly considered legal.
- 50,000 additional green cards a year.
- Work permits for adult children for those immigrants with temporary visas for work.
- Work permits for every illegal immigrant released from custody.
- Taxpayer-funded lawyers to represent unaccompanied children and those with mental disabilities.
- Restrictions on parole for those caught entering the U.S. between designated points of entry.
Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz summed up the plan in one word: “Nightmare.”
Trump slammed the deal as some Senate Republicans seemed moving closer to accepting a deal, which contains no provisions for increased security.
“A Border Deal now would be another Gift to the Radical Left Democrats. They need it politically, but don’t care about our Border. What is currently being worked on in the Senate will be meaningless in terms of Border Security and Closure,” Trump said on Truth Social, his social media platform.

His response led leftist Democrats, like Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz, to try to blame Trump for the unchecked illegal immigration crisis and the crime that comes with it — all of which has occurred since Trump left office.
“Donald Trump just killed the Republican Bill to stop the border and fentanyl crisis so that he can use it as an election issue for the next 10 months,” Moskowitz said on X. “Donald Trump now owns the border crisis.”
As laughable as that might be, Rep. Greene failed to see the humor.
On X, she posted, “Democrats are lying about House Republicans and securing the border. We passed HR2 – STRONGEST border security bill in history! Democrats won’t touch it!!”
According to The Hill, HR 2 would:
- Force employers to use E-Verify to confirm workers’ immigration status or face prison for hiring illegals.
- Clamp down on phony asylum claims
- Build a wall spanning at least 900 miles of America’s 2,000-mile border with Mexico
- Reunite children with families, even in detention, and tighten restrictions on unaccompanied minors
- Rejects amnesty for those illegals already in the country

“Democrats want a deal to let in 5,000 illegal aliens per day, which is 1.8 million per year, and give them amnesty, jobs, and the right to vote in our elections!!!” Greene continued in her X post.
“Under this deal, that would allow in more illegal aliens in one year than the population of major cities like Dallas, Austin, and even Washington DC!!! And they want our border invasion to continue while including $60 BILLION U.S. taxpayer dollars to Ukraine!!”
“This is not a border security deal! This is a border surrender deal and keeping the losing Ukraine war on life support at the American taxpayer’s expense!!” she added.
“AMERICA LAST!!!”
