Florida Senate President Kathleen Passidomo, R-Naples, has prioritized “deregulation” of public schools, and the Florida Senate is poised to move quickly to pass bills.

The Senate will debate the bills (SB 7000, SB 7002, and SB 7004) during a floor session on Wednesday, the second day of the legislative session.

Passidomo described the bills as cutting “red tape” in areas such as testing and accountability, financial requirements, and personnel decisions.
