HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla – A 23-year-old Michigan man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a road on Sunday night.

Troopers say around 8:49 pm on Sunday, a Ford Edge, driven by a 64-year-old Danville, Virginia man, was traveling southbound on SR-39. 

According to Florida Highway Patrol, north of Colson Road, a 23-year-old male pedestrian from Covert, Michigan, attempted to cross the roadway.

The pedestrian entered the path and was struck by the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
