TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. – Treasure Island Fire Rescue battled a Saturday fire at the Thunderbird Beach Resort.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Treasure Island Fire Rescue responded to a fire at the Thunderbird Beach Resort, 10700 Gulf Blvd., in Treasure Island.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire in two rooms on the third floor on the west side of the building. Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly and keep it contained to the two rooms.

“There were no injuries and the fire is still under investigation, but doesn’t look to be suspicious. Damage estimates are still unknown. The Thunderbird was able to relocate the occupants to another room,” said Treasure Island Fire Rescue.
Crews from St Pete Beach Fire Rescue, Madeira Beach Fire Department, St. Petersburg Fire Department and South Pasadena Fire Department assisted.
