HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A motorcyclist died after losing control and crashing on Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say a 32-year-old Dade City man riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was heading east on Powell Road shortly after 10 p.m.
According to troopers, the man failed to negotiate a curve as he approached La Vista Street. According to authorities, the motorcycle went off the road and into the south shoulder.
Officials say that the motorcycle flipped over.
The man died at the scene of the accident, according to FHP.
