Woman And Teen Die After Early Morning Stabbing In Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police detectives are investigating after a woman and teen were killed in a stabbing Sunday.

On Sunday, at approximately 8:55 a.m., officers responded to the 14000 block of Riveredge Drive in reference to a female in her early teens who sustained serious injuries as a result of multiple stab wounds.

Upon arrival, officers located two victims: a female in her 30s who sustained similar injuries and the teen.

Police say that on the scene, the adult victim was pronounced deceased. The juvenile victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Based on the preliminary investigation, both victims are related to each other and are known to the suspect. Police have not released who that suspect is at this time.

Detectives are diligently working to determine what led to this incident.
