Glenda Urvina was recently granted a dream from the Sunshine Foundation for a family trip to Central Florida’s Theme Parks.

Glenda of Bridgeport, Connecticut, lives with Level 3 severe autism.

“We are so grateful for this opportunity the Sunshine Foundation has given us, our first family trip. The trip was beyond amazing, great memories for us, this trip has brought tears of joy to me as a mom to see my children so happy and to be able to have this experience. My youngest daughter Evelin said to me “wishes do come true,” said Glenda’s mother, Brenda.

“The moment of this trip to see Glenda trying to sing “Let it Go” the frozen song was a pure miracle because she’s nonverbal and has never sung a song before this trip. I was in complete shock but so happy all at once for my daughter being able to achieve this milestone. Thank you again to the sponsors and Sunshine Foundation for granting my daughter Glenda a dream. We are forever grateful,” said Brenda.

Sunshine Foundation answers dreams to children with life-long severe chronic illnesses and conditions such as: spina bifida, cerebral palsy, Level 3 Severe Autism, Down syndrome, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness, trauma from abuse, and others.

To make these dreams a reality for children that may be turned away from other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis, Sunshine Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations.

Glenda’s “Dream Come True” was made possible through a generous donation from Glory Days Grill’s annual golf tournament. You can also make a dream come true by donating at www.sunshinefoundation.org.
