The 31-year-old Ohio man who was charged with assaulting, tying up, and packing a 60-year-old woman inside a plastic container at his west side Cleveland residence has entered a guilty plea to multiple charges.
Dalontay Edmond-Geiger Sr. entered a guilty plea to one count each of felonious assault, kidnapping, tampering with evidence, and possessing weapons while disabled, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.
He could spend up to 25 years behind bars.

Early in May 2023, Edmond-Geiger picked up the victim and drove her to his house on West 97th Street and Henley Court, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. Upon arriving at his home, he “tortured her, physically attacked her, stabbed her in the arm, and zip-tied her hands.”
WOIO-TV notes that the victim was “stuffed and folded” in the storage container.
A woman was reportedly “acting hysterical,” according to WKYC, so Cleveland Police were called to the residence on May 2 to perform a welfare check.
When the police arrived, according to the prosecutor’s office, they “located the victim in a small plastic container, moaning in pain, on the porch.”
The woman had serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Edmond-Geiger was taken into custody by police right away.
The Cuyahoga County prosecutor’s office also charged him with attempted murder, to which he entered a guilty plea.

After the indictment, Cleveland County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley stated, “I have seen a lot of truly terrible cases over the years, and this one is one of the most horrific I’ve seen.”
After being hospitalized, the victim was in a coma for a few days and is currently paralyzed as a result of the assault’s broken back and spine.
