Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) of Georgia said on Saturday that left-wing Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib must be censured for her support for Hamas and leading an “insurrection” in Congress recently.
Greene, in an interview with Breitbart News, said the pro-Palestinian and pro-Hamas Tlaib is at the forefront of a movement that could rival, if not surpass, Black Lives Matter in its propensity for growth as a “terrorist movement.”
“The one I have my eyes on right now is the free Palestine, pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas movement, which is turning into what I would call a terrorist movement within our own lands here in our country,” Greene told Breitbart.

That was evident by the “insurrection on our Capitol Complex just two weeks ago that Rashida Tlaib led.”
On Oct 8, the day after Hamas launched the attacks that killed more than 1,400 Israelis, including 33 Americans, Tlaib posted on X (formerly Twitter), “The path to that future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance.” “The failure to recognize the violent reality of living under siege, occupation, and apartheid makes no one safer,” she added.
Greene filed a censure resolution on Thursday that criticized her in part for not “denouncing the horrors of Hamas slaughtering Israelis and demanding the release of all hostages held by Hamas.” Greene also accused Tlaib of “leading an insurrection at the United States Capitol Complex” when a group of protesters occupied the Cannon House Office Building. Police arrested more than 300 demonstrators.
The House is expected to take action on Greene’s resolution by the middle of this week.
“Now they’re starting to attack people individually, and, you know, they’re rising, and this is the real danger. It’s going to be bigger than BLM, I think, going in throughout this next year,” Greene told Breitbart.
“And that’s because I’m far ahead of them in the knowledge that I have on the groups that Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, many progressives are embedded with, but mostly Rashida Tlaib herself,” Greene continued. “Who she is financed by, who does the fundraising for her, people that donate to her across the country.”

“These people, they’re pro-Palestinian, but to be pro-Palestinian is pro-Hamas. And that is really the truth. And there’s people, unfortunately, that are uncomfortable with saying that,” Greene said of using the word “insurrection.”
“I have no discomfort in saying that whatsoever because I know exactly who these people are and their links with, you know, radical communist, Islamic activists like Linda Sarsour and many others.”
“I hope a lot of your listeners call in to my Republican colleagues and tell them they better vote for this resolution to censure Rashida Tlaib because they are, they’re sorely undereducated on who this woman is if they don’t vote for this. It definitely was an insurrection. It was organized and led,” Greene continued.
“These people came in our office buildings, they pushed through security, they refused to leave, they went in and interrupted a Senate hearing. They were going throughout all of our office buildings in the Capitol complex, and they broke the same federal law that January 6 defendants are being absolutely persecuted by [President Joe] Biden’s DOJ [Department of Justice] for,” she maintained.

“I’m not talking about the ones that assaulted Capitol Police or caused damage to the Capitol,” she noted. “I’m talking about people that just walked in the buildings and walked around on January 6. It is absolutely no different than what Rashida Tlaib’s organized groups did just a few weeks ago.”
Greene called those protesters aligned with Tlaib “borderline terrorists,” and added, “Intifada means Arab uprising and rebellion, which is jihad. So that is the group that she led in. That’s the group that did an insurrection that day, and that’s why this is such a serious issue.”
