HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue fought a residential structure fire early Saturday morning in Dover.
According to officials, the emergency dispatch center received a 911 call at 7:55 AM Saturday from a first-party caller reporting a fire at a single-wide mobile home on the 3800 block of Tanner Road in Dover.
Firefighters say a visible column of smoke from a distance initiated a working fire response from Battalion Chief 6.

The first arriving engine, Engine 23, found heavy smoke and fire conditions through the structure’s roof. Crews pulled hose lines to fight the fire from inside and were able to extinguish the blaze within 5 minutes.
Additional crews conducted primary and secondary searches, assisted with water supply, and performed additional firefighting operations.
There were no occupants inside the house at the time of the fire. The American Red Cross has been called to assist one displaced adult resident.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation
