LAND O’ LAKES, Fla – Following the reported discovery of another suspicious envelope at Land O’ Lakes High School on Wednesday, deputies and firefighters were called back to the scene.
According to one source, students involved in after-school activities were evacuated to the track area of school grounds.
According to PulsePoint, Pasco Fire Rescue’s Hazmat team responded to the school at 1:47 p.m. on Wednesday.
“Pasco Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate yesterday’s report of a substance found in the mail delivered today at Land O’ Lakes High School. Another suspicious mail item was located this afternoon after students were dismissed for the day,” said Pasco Sheriff’s Office.
“Today’s mail item was isolated to a non-student area of the school. No additional information is available at this time as the investigation continues. An update will be provided when available,” said PSO.

Students at Land O’ Lakes High School were dismissed Tuesday after several envelopes were sent to the school with a white substance inside, prompting closure for the day.
Students were held in their first-period class on Tuesday morning.
“This morning, we were notified of several envelopes that were sent to the school with a white substance inside. Emergency services responded to the scene and tested the substance. It was determined to be non-hazardous in nature,” said Pasco County School (PCS).
According to PCS, due to the ongoing investigation, the district made the decision to send students home and cancel school today.
No students were injured, and all precautions have been taken to keep them safe, says Pasco School District.
