Authorities claim that a 70-year-old Florida woman ran over and killed her husband while looking for their dog.
According to jail records from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Sally Gore, 70, is accused of both DUI, a misdemeanor, and DUI causing death, a felony.
According to police, Gore and her husband were returning home from dinner Friday night when they noticed that their front gate was open, leading them to think their dog had gotten out.

Police say Gore ran her husband over when he got out of the car to look for the dog and then drove around the block.
According to an arrest report, Gore didn’t realize she had run her husband over, and Gore’s breath test returned a BAC over the legal state limit.
Gore was arrested, booked into the Brevard County jail, and has since been released.
