PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – When it comes to dollars and cents, you can count on the Pinellas County Tax Collector’s Office for accuracy, down to the penny.
That’s one of the reasons why Tax Collector Charles W. Thomas, and his finance team earned their 12th consecutive Legacy Award for Financial Operations, one of the most significant honors bestowed by the Florida Tax Collectors Association (FTCA).
A five-person judging panel selected the Pinellas County Tax Collector’s Finance team made up of Florida government financial executives. The criteria for the Legacy Award include a perfect annual audit report as well as evidence of technological innovations, customer focus, and keen budgeting.
