TAMPA, Fla. – A man died early Monday morning after he was shot in the parking lot of a gentlemen’s club, according to deputies.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said deputies arrived at Playhouse Gentleman’s Club, at 8205 North Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa, around 3:40 a.m. after receiving calls about gunshots in the parking lot.
The victim, a 33-year-old man, was shot in the upper body. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he later died.

HCSO said no witnesses were found at the scene when the shots were fired because they fled. Investigators are now tracking down surveillance footage at local businesses to help solve the case.
“It’s truly disheartening to see a holiday weekend, meant for fun and celebration with family and friends, overshadowed by acts of violence,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Our detectives are tirelessly working to piece together the puzzle surrounding this shooting, and we urge anyone with information to come forward.”
