President Joe Biden’s administration has distributed crack pipes to drug addicts, could not find the source of cocaine left in the White House, has no answer for mass-murdering amounts of fentanyl illegally crossing the southern border, and is led by a man whose son was a well known crack-cocaine addict.
Yet now Biden wants to tell Americans they can only drink two beers a week.
The revelation was apparently news to Biden’s chief official in charge of dealing with the news media.

During a White House press conference earlier this week, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked Biden spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre about the recent recommendation from Dr. George Koob, director of the National Institute Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
Koob had reportedly suggested Americans limit themselves to just two beers a week Doocy said. “How do you guys think that’s going to go over?” he asked.
“Let me tell you what, I’m not going to get involved in that question right there. I have no idea. I’ve not seen the data. I cannot speak to this. I will leave it to the experts and not weigh in,” said Jean-Pierre. “I will leave it to the experts.”
While Jean-Pierre was ignorant of the ramblings of one of her boss’ top health advisers, Koob’s comment has been news for several days.

The New York Post reported last week that Koob said the U.S. Department of Agriculture could soon revise its recommendations on alcohol to follow Canada, which in January began encouraging its residents to limit alcohol consumption to two drinks per week.
“If there’s health benefits, I think people will start to re-evaluate where we’re at,” Koob said of Canada’s policy. “So, if [alcohol consumption guidelines] go in any direction, it would be toward Canada.”
“Most of the benefits people attribute to alcohol, we feel they really have more to do with what someone’s eating rather than what they’re drinking,” Koob added. “So it really has to do with the Mediterranean diet, socio-economic status, that makes you able to afford that kind of diet and make your own fresh food and so forth.”
Fox News noted on Tuesday that “several” Republican lawmakers were trashing Koob for his suggestion to limit alcohol intake.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz told Fox News Digital, “Democrats are trying to control every aspect of your life.”
“We saw this especially during COVID and it’s continued throughout the Biden administration,” Cruz added. “All it’s done is erode trust in public health bureaucrats.”
Rep. Tim Burchett, a Tennessee Republican, called Koob’s idea “ridiculous.”

“This is what happens when 30 million Americans don’t vote,” he said.
“Overpaid unelected bureaucrats sticking their fat noses somewhere it does not belong.”
“I am a non-drinker, but this is ridiculous,” Burchett added. “If they want to look at abuse, look at the spending in Washington and the overreach by the White House.”
On X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Iowa Republican Sen. Joni Ernst posted of Koob, “Another Biden ‘czar’ — this one wants to take away Americans’ beer. Absurd.”
Also on X, Florida GOP Rep. Brian Mast wrote, “We tried something similar to this before. It was called Prohibition. There’s a reason we ended it. It was terrible. Let the people drink their beer.”
