A business jet traveling from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed in Russia, resulting in the deaths of all 10 individuals on board.
According to The Associated Press, among the passengers was Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of a private military company known as Wagner, though it remains unclear whether he was actually on the plane at the time of the crash.
Prigozhin’s private military group, Wagner, had previously been involved in conflicts such as fighting alongside Russia’s regular army in Ukraine.
Prigozhin had also been recently linked to an armed mutiny against Russia’s military leadership.
The crash occurred in the Tver region of Russia, north of Moscow, and authorities are investigating the incident.
