CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police arrested an Oak Grove Middle School student Thursday afternoon after he said he was going to blow up a classroom.
Several students told school officials and a school resource officer Thursday that the suspect made the threat Wednesday during an enrichment class.
When another student asked if he cared about his friends being killed, the suspect said he loved his friends, but they would all die with everyone else.

He later admitted making the statement but said he was only joking. No device was found on campus, located at 1370 S. Belcher Road.
The 14-year-old, who is in the eighth grade, was charged with threat to discharge a destructive device. He was taken to the Pinellas County Juvenile Assessment Center.
“Clearwater Police want to remind students that school threats are no joke,” said CPD.
