TAMPA, Fla. – A 40-year-old Lakeland man has died after being struck by a box truck on I-275 in Tampa Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
Troopers say a single-unit box truck, was traveling southbound on I-275, north of Busch Boulevard.
Investigators say for ‘unknown reason’ the Lakeland man was attempting to walk across the interstate, entered the path of and was struck by the truck.

Troopers say the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
