National Hurricane Center (NHC) forecasters are watching a trio of storms on Friday, including a low-pressure system that formed over Northeast Florida and coastal Georgia.
The system, with a low chance of development into a bigger storm, was located east of Jacksonville Friday morning.
“Environmental conditions are expected to be favorable for additional gradual development of this system during the next few days,” a weather outlook issued Friday morning said.
The system was expected to bring heavy rain to Northeast Florida before moving north towards the Carolinas.

The National Hurricane Center is also eying a tropical wave in the Atlantic Ocean between the Cabo Verde Islands and the Lesser Antilles.
The outlook gave the system a 60 percent chance of growing into a tropical depression early next week.
According to a weather advisory issued Friday morning, the wave was moving west-northwestward and was expected to jog to the north before reaching the eastern Caribbean islands.
A third area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms in the southwestern Caribbean Sea was forecast to bring heavy rains to Nicaragua and Honduras through Saturday.
