HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will host its first-ever drive-by pumpkin patch this Saturday at the Sheriff’s Operations Center in Ybor City.
Families are encouraged to load up their vehicles and drive through the entrance of the Sheriff’s Office, where deputies will be standing by handing out pumpkins and pre-packaged goodie bags, free of charge, to children through the windows of their vehicles.
“You don’t even have to leave your car to take part in this family-friendly event,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “These unprecedented times we are living in have impacted children in so many ways. We want to bring some normalcy back to their lives by giving out free pumpkins and candy ahead of Halloween, but we’re making sure that everyone can safely join in on the fun.”
The drive-by pumpkin patch is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 24. The Sheriff’s Operations Center is located at 2008 E 8th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605.
