LAKE WALES, Fla. – One person was killed, and two more were injured after a crash in Lake Wales Thursday night.
According to Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and Polk County Fire Rescue were called to the crash scene around 10:29 p.m. at Masterpiece Road near Longhorn Drive.
According to their initial investigation, deputies say, Damien Fletcher, 19, was driving a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee east on Masterpiece Road with Jaeden Hill, 19, in the passenger seat and a 16-year-old boy in the backseat.

Investigators say Fletcher lost control of the Jeep, and it left the road, striking three mailboxes and a utility pole before it began flipping.
Hill was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
All three victims were transported to a local hospital, but Hill died from injuries suffered in the crash. The other two victims were treated and released.
