CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a single-vehicle crash shortly after 1:30 am Wednesday in the northbound lanes of U.S. 19 at Sunset Point Road.
Police say a 2016 Honda Pilot crashed into the divider and burst into flames.
The 24-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with possible life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash, police say.
