Florida Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez led Florida’s delegation with remarks at the inauguration of the Florida Pavilion to open the 2023 Paris Air Show.
This year’s event will serve as the largest air show in history and include Florida’s largest pavilion since the first Florida Pavilion in 1994. The nearly 4,000 sq. ft. pavilion will support 17 exhibitors and a record number of participants including four executive VIPs, four delegates, and 12 economic development organizations.
“The aviation and aerospace sector is one of our most important and fastest growing industries in Florida,” said Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez. “Our presence at the Paris Air Show sends an important signal to this targeted industry that Florida is a leader and has the right talent, infrastructure, and business-friendly climate to support and assist business development and expansion.”

The Lieutenant Governor will visit with business executives and leaders within the aerospace sector as part of an international mission organized in conjunction with Enterprise Florida.

Since 1994, Enterprise Florida has hosted a Florida Pavilion at the Paris Air Show.
The air show serves as the point of entry for many businesses looking to build, expand, or relocate their business operations to Florida. Aviation and aerospace is a targeted industry for growth and expansion, and Florida’s presence at these trade shows serve three main purposes:
- branding Florida as the best place to do business;
- attracting inbound foreign direct investment and garnering expansion and retention activities;
- assisting Florida manufacturers with their exports through promotion and assistance.
