HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Two people are dead, and another was seriously injured after a driver ran a red light Sunday night.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was traveling southeast on Nebraska Avenue when it entered the intersection of Nebraska and Florida Avenue around 8:35 p.m. Sunday.
Troopers say the pickup truck then failed to stop for a red light, colliding with an SUV traveling northeast on Florida Avenue.

Troopers say that both vehicles rotated before stopping in the intersection and east shoulder.
The pickup truck driver, a 46-year-old Tampa man, died after being transported to a local hospital. A 32-year-old Lutz woman, a passenger in the SUV, also died at the crash scene.
The SUV driver, a 33-year-old Tampa man, was seriously injured.
