PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla – Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children (CAC) Unit have arrested a Tampa man for possession of child pornography.
According to investigators, on September 29, 2022, detectives began an investigation after receiving information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that child pornography was being uploaded via the internet.
Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 32-year-old Dominic Smarowsky.

On May 30, 2023, detectives arrested Smarowsky and charged him with seven counts of possession of child pornography.
When Smarowsky was interviewed by detectives, he admitted to viewing child pornography of children as young as four years old.
He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
