A 20-year-old Florida man has been charged with careless driving after failing to stop at a stop sign and crashing into a home, injuring two people.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, around 12:20 am. the 20-year-old man man was traveling southbound, at a high rate of speed, on CR-421 in Sumter County, approaching a stop sign at the intersection of CR-470.
The driver failed to stop, continued through the intersection, and struck a home at 2986 CR-470, Lake Panasoffkee.

Two residents of the home, a 29-year-old female and a nine-year-old male, suffered minor injuries due to the collision.
The uninjured driver was later charged with careless driving.
