Florida’s First Lady, Casey DeSantis, shared a video clip Tuesday that teases the launch of her husband, Gov. Ron DeSantis’ 2024 presidential campaign.

The video, tweeted from DeSantis’s wife Casey’s Twitter account, includes narration describing America as being “worth the fight” and shows DeSantis walking onto a stage.

“They call it faith because, in the face of darkness, you can see that brighter future, a faith that our best days lay ahead of us. But is it worth the fight? Do I have the courage? Is it worth the sacrifice? America has been worth it every single time,” the narration said.

The video then fades to black and shows a number to text for more information. When the number is texted, a message responds, “Thank you for subscribing to receive texts from Ron DeSantis for President.”

DeSantis will announce his 2024 presidential campaign in a Twitter Spaces livestream with Elon Musk on Wednesday evening.

DeSantis will speak with Musk at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, and the campaign will release a video formally launching the campaign.

DeSantis is considered the most competitive challenger to former President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination. In November 2022, Musk said he would support DeSantis if he ran for president.

DeSantis recently claimed the 2024 presidential race includes only three people who are “credible” enough to get elected — and while he may be one of them, DeSantis says former President Donald Trump has only a slim chance.

And despite their open and biased contempt for Trump, DeSantis maintained that the mainstream media wants Trump to be the GOP nominee because they think President Joe Biden can beat him again, according to a Fox News report from Thursday.

DeSantis reportedly commented during a conference call to potential donors organized by Never Back Down, a political action committee that supports him.

“You have basically three people at this point that are credible in this whole thing,” DeSantis said in wooing possible backers, according to Fox News. “Biden, Trump, and me.”

“And I think of those three, two have a chance to get elected president — Biden and me, based on all the data in the swing states, which is not great for the former president and probably insurmountable because people aren’t going to change their view of him,” DeSantis added.

Apparently because of that data, DeSantis noted on the call, “The corporate media wants Trump to be the nominee.”

In response, Trump spokesman Stephen Cheung told Fox News, “Ron DeSantis is having a no good, very bad week with two devastating losses on Election Day, and letting Disney steamroll him. Everything he is saying is exactly what consultants tell candidates to manipulate and bamboozle them.”
