TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police Detectives are currently investigating a homicide that took place in the 2900 block of N. Central Avenue, where an adult black female was shot and killed.

This was not a random incident, police say.

The suspect, an adult black male who is known to the victim, was transported to a nearby hospital with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
