While most teens are sleeping or up early getting ready for school on a weekday, others are prowling neighborhoods and burglarizing vehicles.

Four teens ranging in age from 13 to 16 were arrested by Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies in Crestview Wednesday morning after deputies responded to reports of suspicious activity around 5 a.m.

According to deputies, a homeowner said he noticed a flashlight outside his window and saw two teens burglarizing his pick-up truck. When he went outside, the pair ran away.

In viewing his home security cameras, he could see two males had been inside his truck, and three other teens appeared to be acting as look-outs in the road.

Investigators say the victim was missing a small amount of cash from his truck. His wife’s vehicle was missing keys and a debit card.

A short time later, deputies spotted five teens at a park, who all tried to flee, but with the assistance of the Crestview Police Department, four were taken into custody.

15-year-old Noah Lemieux of Crestview is charged with burglary, petty theft, and resisting an officer.

Warrants are being sought on the other male in the truck who managed to get away. The three remaining teens, a 13-year-old girl and two boys, ages fourteen and sixteen, are charged with accessory to burglary, as well as resisting an officer.
