LAKELAND, Fla. – The vehicle involved in the mass shooting that happened on Monday has been located, according to police.
Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor said the Nissan Altima that was used in the “intentional” act was located in Lakeland but did not provide an address.
Taylor also said another victim was identified on Monday night.
“As of this morning, we’re going to up the victim count to 11,” Taylor said. “We had another individual that showed up at Lakeland regional health as a walk-in. So now we have a total of 11 victims. He also sustained minor injuries. All of our victims are male.”

Two men have critical injuries, and nine people have non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Of those in critical condition, one person was shot in the abdomen, and the other person was shot in the face, police said.
Police Chief Sam Taylor said that some victims are cooperating and others aren’t, but added on Tuesday, that the neighborhood residents are cooperating with the investigation.
Marijuana was found at the scene, and law enforcement believes the sale of narcotics may have played a role in the shooting.
Taylor said that police believe there isn’t a threat to the area at this time, but there will still be extra patrols in the area overnight.

“It was an intentional act,” Lakeland Police Chief Sammy Taylor said Monday.
