First-time unemployment claims in Florida dipped last week as the labor market remains tight nationally.
The U.S. Department of Labor on Thursday released a report that estimated 6,790 unemployment claims were filed in Florida during the week that ended Jan. 14, down from a revised count of 7,447 during the week that ended Jan. 7.
