Incoming House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) sent letters Tuesday to the White House and National Archives demanding access to President Biden’s recovered classified documents.
The classified documents found at an office President Joe Biden formerly used at a D.C. think tank included briefings about Iran, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom, according to CNN, as the Justice Department conducts a review to determine whether there was any criminal wrongdoing.
The records were dated between 2013 and 2016, corresponding to the time Biden served as vice president, CNN reported, citing a source with knowledge of the documents.
The discovery of the records has drawn comparisons with documents found last year at President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate.
Impeachment
Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has renewed her bid to impeach President Joe Biden following the discovery of classified documents.

“This is a very serious situation. Vice presidents cannot declassify documents. And the fact that Joe Biden is in possession of classified documents when he was vice president, signals that we need to have a serious investigation into this,” Greene told C-SPAN in a brief interview on Tuesday.
“There is a true two-tier justice system stemming from [Attorney General] Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice in the way President [Donald] Trump has been treated — who is allowed to classify and declassify documents; presidents can do that — versus the Democrats and Joe Biden, and how he is being treated,” she continued.
“I’ll echo again, impeach Biden,” said Greene.
When the reporter asked Greene about the timing of the discovery of the documents — just a few days before the November elections — Greene added, “So much BS.”

Greene has called for Biden to be impeached multiple times, and filed bills to do that, since he took office in January 2021.
The first time, she demanded that he be impeached for his involvement in the shady profiteering of his son, Hunter, in overseas business ventures.
She then called for Biden to be impeached for the chaotic retreat from Afghanistan that led to a terrorist attack that killed 13 U.S. troops.
She later wanted Biden impeached for selling off America’s emergency oil stockpile in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which is at its lowest level in nearly 40 years.

In the latest controversy, as The Free Press reported Tuesday, classified documents were discovered in Biden’s former office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington.
Biden’s lawyers found the records mixed among unclassified materials. They were left over from his time as vice president. The content of the documents has not been revealed, nor has how highly classified they were.
The lawyers reported the security breach on Nov. 2, including telling Biden, just days before the elections.
Prior to that, Biden had chastised Trump for having classified materials at his Mar-a-Lago estate from his time as president. “How anyone could be that irresponsible?” Biden said at the time.
Garland has directed the U.S. attorney in Chicago to investigate Biden’s breach.
