Rep. Lauren Boebert survived.
The firebrand conservative Colorado Republican announced Friday that her Democratic opponent, Adam Frisch, called to concede the nail-biting election.
According to Fox News, which has yet to call the race, Boebert led by 554 votes with 99 percent of precincts reporting.
“I look forward to getting past election season and focusing on conservative governance in the House majority,” she tweeted on Friday. “Time to get to work!”
Boebert on Friday acknowledged in an interview with local media that a recount was necessary because of the close vote. But that, she added, would not affect the outcome.
Frisch admitted as much in a Facebook video.
“I just got off the phone with Representative Boebert,” Frisch said in the post.
“I called her to formally concede this election. Please know that in the coming weeks, I will pause to reflect on this race, how I can continue to work for the people of western and southern Colorado and of this great nation.”

On Twitter, he added that Colorado elections are “rock solid,” and that the recount, while mandatory, would not swing the outcome.
Boebert’s win will give the GOP at least 219 seats in the next session. Republicans hold leads in three races in California that are still to be decided.
Frisch ran a surprisingly strong race in an election Boebert was expected to win with relative ease.
He did so by distancing himself from his own party.
As the Associated Press reported last month, Frisch labeled himself a “conservative businessman” and left this party affiliation off his press releases. He also offered himself as a “moderate” and “pragmatic,” as well pro-business and pro-energy.
Boebert, on the other hand, did not let voters forget which party Frisch belonged to. “Adam’s priority is to act like a Republican because he knows he has no chance to win this election being the Pelosi-loving liberal that he is,” she told the AP.
Boebert is a staunch Trump supporter and an ally of strong conservative lawmakers like Reps. Matt Gaetz of Florida and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Her win is a big plus not just for the GOP’s narrow majority but for the Trump-aligned wing of the party.
