Vote Count In Arizona

Katie Hobbs Holds Lead Over Kari Lake After Anticipated Vote Drop Saturday

Republican Kari Lake and challenger Democrat Katie Hobbs await a drop of votes that reports say will happen Saturday night at 6 pm local time.

Republican Kari Lake and challenger Democrat Katie Hobbs awaited the vote drop at 8:00 pm EST.

At the 8:00 pm vote drop on Saturday, Maricopa County tabulated 85,656 ballots Est. 194,885 remain (88% complete).

With the current 88% of votes reported, Hobbs leads by 34,742 votes.

Republican Kari Lake and challenger Democrat Katie Hobbs awaited the vote drop at 8 pm EST.

On Friday Hobbs tweeted, “As we await outstanding ballots, I remain confident in the will of AZ voters and am grateful to the election officials diligently working to ensure every vote is properly counted. To everyone closely watching our race, thanks for your patience. We look forward to the days ahead.”

But Lake says, not so fast.

“I am 100% going to win. I have absolute 100% confidence that I will be the next governor of Arizona,” Lake told Fox News Digital in a Thursday interview while giving a preview into what she saw as the future of the Republican Party following what many have called disappointing House and Senate election results.

“I think the Republican Party should continue along with America first policies like we are with solutions, common sense solutions,” she said before listing prominent Republicans she felt might lead the party into the future, including South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

However, Lake made it clear that former President Donald Trump was her first choice to run for president in 2024 and that he was “still the leader” of the party, according to Fox News.

“I personally hope that he runs again. I think he will run. And if he does, I think he will win,” she said. “We need a President Trump to go in there and fix all the damage that Joe Biden has inflicted on this country. And I’m rooting for President Trump.”
