SPRING HILL, Fla. – Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies are currently on the scene at 12480 Feather St. in Spring Hill regarding a deputy-involved shooting.
According to Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to serve a felony warrant around 2:40 am on Saturday.
Deputies say one contact was made with the wanted person, shots were fired.
The white male was pronounced deceased on the scene, investigators say.
No deputies were injured during the incident.
“As with all deputy-involved shootings, the FDLE will be conducting the investigation,” said HCSO. “As per standard protocol, the deputy involved in this incident will be placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation.”
