TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police Detectives are investigating a shooting that took the life of a man on Wednesday.
According to detectives, early Wednesday morning, Tampa Police were dispatched to the report of a shooting in the 8600 block of N. 11th St.
Officers arrived to find an adult male in his mid-forties, the victim of an apparent gunshot wound.
Officers rendered emergency first aid until Tampa Fire Rescue arrived. The victim was then transported to a nearby hospital where he died from injuries suffered.

“While it is early in the investigation, currently detectives do not believe this to be a random act,” said Tampa Police PIO Eddy Durkin.
