A Florida mother has been arrested after investigators found her three-month-old baby had only gained one pound since birth.
On Wednesday, Sept. 28, Investigators were notified about a medical exam on a three-month-old child that resulted in abuse findings, such as extremely low weight and bruising on the body.
According to medical records, the child weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces at birth and only weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces just over a 3-moth period.
On Wednesday, Oct. 5, Investigators made contact with the child’s parents and brought them in for questioning.

After the interview, it was determined that the child has not received any medical treatment or been examined by a doctor since birth.
The child’s mother, Emilie Grace Calloway was arrested and placed in the Jackson County Jail and is being charged with Child Neglect.
