55-Year-Old Man Identified by St. Pete Police as the Body Found in Burned Car

SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla.- The body found burned in a car earlier this week was identified through dental records. The victim is 55-Year-Old Jesus Manuel Tavarez-Soto.

The vehicle was also identified as a 2014 black Nissan Sentra and was registered to the victim.

A cyclist discovered the burned car at 6 a.m., Monday, September 21st, on the Skyway Trail of the Pinellas Trail Network, near the Twin Brooks golf course.

St. Petersburg Police Department and the Gulfport Police Department are now working this case as a joint investigation. The loop of the trail where the burned car was located is within the City of Gulfport’s jurisdiction.
