PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Two people died after driving their Ferrari head-on into another car on Sunday night.

According to police, on Sunday at approximately 9:43 pm, officers and rescue personnel responded to the scene of a head-on crash on Bryan Dairy Rd.

“Based on preliminary information, it appears that a red Ferrari was traveling at a high rate of speed while eastbound on Bryan Dairy Rd. The Ferrari crossed the median for unknown reasons and crashed head-on into a westbound vehicle,” said Pinellas Park Police Captain Adam Geissenberger.

Police say the driver of the Ferrari, a 67-year-old Largo man was ejected from the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger, a 56-year-old Largo Woman, were pronounced dead on the scene.

The two occupants of the red Ferrari were killed instantly, according to police.

The driver of Acura, a 42-year-old, Largo man, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, not believed to be life-threatening.
